About Nusaf Dynamic Technologies
Keeping production lines moving since 1987
When a conveyor stops, everything stops. The filler stands idle, the packers wait, and every minute costs money. For nearly four decades, South African manufacturers have called Nusaf in that moment — because we have the part on the shelf, the person who knows exactly which one you need, and if it doesn't exist anymore, a machine shop that can make it.
Our story
In 1987, Giuseppe Latilla started Nusaf in Johannesburg with a simple conviction: South African industry deserved the same quality of conveyor and power transmission components as anywhere in the world — without the wait.
That same year, he shook hands with Chiaravalli of Italy. Thirty-nine years later, that partnership is still going, and Nusaf remains Chiaravalli's sole distributor in South Africa. We've since added Tecom (2009) and Regina (2018) — three Italian brands with reputations built the same way ours was: slowly, and on quality.
Today Nusaf is run by Giuseppe's son, Guido Latilla. Giuseppe still comes in — some habits, like standards, don't retire. We're a second-generation family business, and it shows in how we treat customers: your name matters here, your problem gets solved by a person who answers the phone, and we plan in decades, not quarters.
What we do
We stock what you need. Over 20,000 SKUs of conveyor and power transmission components sit in our 1,800 m² Johannesburg facility, ready to ship nationwide and across sub-Saharan Africa. When your line is down, "we can order it from Europe" isn't an answer. "It's on the shelf" is.
We make what you can't find. Our in-house machine shop — CNC routers, milling machines, lathes — manufactures plastic machined goods right here in Johannesburg.
We resurrect obsolete parts. The machine that runs your line might be older than the company that made it. When a part is discontinued, unobtainable, or stuck on a ship for eight weeks, our reverse engineering team measures, draws and machines a replacement. It's one of the most valuable things we do, and one of the reasons customers stay with us for decades.
Who we work with
Food and beverage. Packaging and canning. Pharmaceutical. Machine manufacturing, logistics, agriculture and mining. If product moves along a line somewhere in South Africa, there's a good chance Nusaf components are moving it.
Why customers stay
Anyone can promise good service. Here's what we actually offer:
Stock, not lead times. 20,000+ SKUs on hand means most orders leave the same day.
People who know the products. Our technical team has spent years with these components. Tell us the application; we'll tell you the part.
Manufacturing muscle. When the catalogue doesn't have it, our machine shop does.
A 39-year track record. Chiaravalli has trusted us as their sole South African distributor since 1987. Our customers trust us for the same reason: we deliver, consistently, at a fair price.
