What is the difference between a modular belt and a PVC belt?
A PVC belt is a continuous flat belt, friction-driven by pulleys, that needs tensioning and tracking. A modular belt is assembled from interlocking plastic modules joined by pins and is positively driven by sprockets — it cannot slip or mistrack, runs at low tension, and damaged sections are repaired by replacing individual modules rather than re-splicing or replacing the whole belt.
When do I need stainless steel table-top chain instead of plastic?
Plastic (acetal) table-top chain is the standard choice for most food, beverage and packaging lines — it runs quietly and resists corrosion. Stainless steel chain is used where temperature, load or abrasion exceeds what plastic handles — pasteurisers, ovens, can lines, and heavy or hot products.
