CH 03/04 Double Worm Gearbox (ratios 245–2760:1)

Worm Gearboxes

Two CH worm gearboxes combined — a CH 03 driving a CH 04 — for total ratios 245–2760:1 and output speeds down to 0.5 r/min. Aluminium housings, hollow output shaft with 18 mm bore, keyed; output flange versions (F / FA / FC) as the CH 04, or the group can be fixed on its feet (CH/CH) or swing on the output (CH/CH..P). The motor bolts to the CH 03's IEC flange (IEC 56 or 63, B5 or B14). The execution (OAD, OAS, OBD, OBS, VAD, VAS, VBD, VBS) sets where the first gear sits on the second — OBS unless you specify otherwise. Centre distance Y between the two input axes: 120.5 mm. Filled for life with synthetic oil — no oil changes, no maintenance; aluminium housing.

Supplied without motor. The first gear can also be ordered as a CHR (input shaft) — ask us.

How to pick from the table: with a standard 4-pole motor (1400 r/min) the total ratio sets the output speed; P1 is the motor power the catalogue pairs with the row and the output torque is at that power. Where the printed power is more than the gear allows (row note), choose by torque. Other ratio combinations of the two single gears are possible on request.

Product Information

Motor pole count

All table figures assume a 4-pole motor (1400 r/min input) — the standard choice for most applications. A 2-pole motor (2800 r/min) doubles the output speed and a 6-pole motor (900 r/min) reduces it, and the power and torque ratings change with them — if you're running anything other than 4-pole, contact us and we'll size it for you.

Reading the table

Each row is one total ratio: output speed at 1400 r/min in, the catalogue's motor power P1 and the output torque at that power. The ratios listed are the most frequently requested; multiple other combinations of the two single gears' ratios can be made.
