CHPC 90 + CHM 130 Worm Gearbox with Pre-Stage Module (ratios 98–245:1)

CHPC 90 pre-stage module (ratio 2.45:1, IEC 90 B5 motor flange) coupled to a CHM 130 worm gearbox — total ratios 98–245:1 in one compact unit, for the slow output speeds a single worm stage cannot reach. Cast iron CHM housing, hollow output shaft with 45 mm bore, keyed; optional output flanges as the CHM 130. The dimension sheet gives the combined unit (CHPC/CHM 80(90)+130); the gearbox connected to the pre-stage has the pre-stage's Z1 input dimension. Supplied for the B3 mounting position — tell us if you need a different orientation (see the mounting-position drawing). Lubricated with mineral oil; the oil quantity is set for the mounting position, so the orientation matters when ordering.

Supplied without motor. Fits an IEC 90 B5 motor (24 mm shaft).

How to pick from the table: with a standard 4-pole motor (1400 r/min) the total ratio sets the output speed; P1 is the motor power the catalogue pairs with the row and the output torque is at that power. The catalogue notes the installed power is sometimes more than the gear needs — always check the output torque against your load, and ask us if in doubt.

Product Information

Motor pole count

All table figures assume a 4-pole motor (1400 r/min input) — the standard choice for most applications. A 2-pole motor (2800 r/min) doubles the output speed and a 6-pole motor (900 r/min) reduces it, and the power and torque ratings change with them — if you're running anything other than 4-pole, contact us and we'll size it for you.

Reading the table

Each row is one total ratio (pre-stage × worm stage): output speed at 1400 r/min in, the catalogue's motor power P1 for that row and the output torque at that power. Specify the mounting position of the pre-stage relative to the gearbox when ordering (supplied for universal assembly when the module comes on its own).
