Chiaravalli spiral-tooth bevel gear, Gleason system, 1:1 ratio, module 5. Spiral bevels run quieter and carry higher loads than straight bevels. Each gear is either left-hand (S) or right-hand (D) twist — order matching-twist pinion and opposite-twist crown.
